Congratulations Are in Order
SEC. SEC. SEC.
With Florida’s 24-14 victory over Oklahoma last night, that officially makes it three straight national championships for the SEC and five overall since the BCS began. No other conference in college football has more than two national titles during that same span.
I believe the argument about which conference is the best in college football has been settled, at least at present. Yes, the talk this year centered mainly around the Big 12 and their terrific south division, but when the dust settled it was the SEC that reigned supreme. In a year when most of the conference struggled (even Bama did late), Florida was still able to show that the size, speed, and athletic ability in the SEC conference can’t be matched anywhere else. Hats off to the Gators and Tim Tebow, who showed the nation what toughness really is.
Now, here’s hoping Tebow leaves for the NFL.
