News Before NSD
No news would be good news in this case, as it seems the only news we’ve been getting lately is bad.
And the streak continues.
An aggregation of news stories from multiple sources have us losing another five prospects on the verge of National Signing Day.
Two offensive line prospects, both huge targets for Kiffin & Co. due to the Vols need to shore up its offensive front, have apparently parted ways with the Volunteers. According to Rivals.com, Aubrey Phillips has informed his high school that he intends to sign with Florida State tomorrow. Rivals.com is also reporting that once silent commit Peter White has decided to sign with Maryland, due to its proximity to his family’s home.
It’s also being reported that DD Jones is more than likely headed to Fayettville to become an Arkansas Razorback.
Nu’Keese Richardson looks to be sticking with his commitment to Florida, acccording to Florida’s Rivals.com site.
Lastly, the Auburn Scout Board is reporting that David Oku, the number one all-purpose back in the nation, has eliminated the Vols from his list of possible schools.
Let’s hope this is where the bleeding stops. Obviously, none of this information can be taken to the bank, not until those players sign on the dotted line. But it looks like the Vols’ recruiting tailspin continues.
Let’s hope tomorrow brings brighter things.
Shout out to the fellas over at 3SIB for the breaking news. They’re on their A game.
