Bleeding Brown

Surprise, Surprise… the rumors are true.

As roughly 5,000 Tennessee football fans sat in Neyland Stadium tonight, they were joined by a pretty important guest.

No, it wasn’t Layla Kiffin.

It was the nation’s #1 and still unsigned prospect, Bryce Brown.

What Can Brown Do For You?

What Can Brown Do For You?

With only days left until he signs his letter of intent, the fact that he’s in Knoxville has to make you wonder if he isn’t Knoxville bound.  Yea, it’s no guarantee, but it’s definitely better than him being in Baton Rouge or anywhere else.  As long as everything goes well, his most recent visit should weigh heavily on him come Monday, or so I hope.

The thought of a backfield containing both Brown and Oku has me thinking about Auburn’s old tandem of Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown (who just so happened to be coached by Eddie Gran).  To sign the nation’s top prospect without a full season of recruiting would speak wonders for the staff Kiffin has assembled, and would all but assure that the sky is the limit for the 2010 recruiting class.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.  We still have to sign the guy.

So although I’ll be down in Florida on spring break, I know where I’ll be on Monday… on the beach with my laptop.

I can’t afford to miss this…
